Stuff the Desk: August 14-15, 2026

In south Wood County, Stuff the Bus collects school supplies annually at East Junior High School and distributes them to students in need at a “Stuff the Desk” event held in August.  Stuff the Bus - Stuff the Desk is a collaborative effort of local non-profit, school, and government entities.A man and a woman smiling in front of a school bus with some school supplies

United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties has been an integral part of this initiative as we convened local agencies to promote collaboration and avoid duplication.  United Way helps to plan and promote the event and recruit volunteers.

In 2025, Stuff the Desk provided 750 students with a backpack filled with school supplies.
