United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties Will Distribute Free Children’s Books on June 11th

Kids of all ages are invited to join United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties during the Great Book Giveaway, which will be held Friday, June 11, 10:30am at the Adams County Library.  Physical distancing and masking are encouraged.

Volunteers will be reading to kids from 10:30am to 11:00am, and afterward every child present can select a book to keep.  Books that will be given away were donated in the past years during a book drive.

The Great Book Giveaway was created to inspire children to keep reading – and learning – during the summer months.  Kids who read during summer are less likely to fall behind when the new school year begins.

All children and youth (from ages birth to 12 years), parents, grandparents, caregivers, and day care providers are invited to attend this free event.  Families can come to the event together; and day care providers are welcome to come and bring along all the children in their care.  There will be additional Great Book Giveaway events in South Wood County from June 8-15th. Visit our website www.uwswac.org or call 715-421-0390 for more information.
