United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties’ annual United We Can food sculpture contest will happen at Witter Field on Tuesday, June 18th. Participating teams will compete using hundreds of donated food and basic-need items to build sculptures. After the event, the South Wood County Hunger Coalition will distribute the donated items to local food programs, adding to the 72,496 pounds of food the event has leveraged since 2013.

How to participate:

Community partners can help fight hunger in our community by registering a team with United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties. Teams registered by May 1st will also be entered to win Craft River tickets to a 2024 Rafters game – register now at www.uwswac.org or contact Ben Eberlein at 715-421-0390 or ben@uwswac.org!

What to expect:

Before the event, each team will design a sculpture, and purchase or collect the non-perishable food donations needed to bring it to life. On June 18th, teams may build their sculptures at Witter Field any time between 10am-4pm.

All sculptures will be on display during the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters game against the Battle Creek Battle Jacks starting at 6:35pm. Awards for the “Most Nutritious” and “Most Creative” sculptures will be decided by a panel of judges, and a “Community Choice Award” will be decided by fans in attendance. The winning teams will be invited on-field to receive their awards!
