Stuff the School Bus/Desk is a collaborative community initiative led by United Way to ensure every student has the supplies they need to learn. All families with financial need are eligible to receive free school supplies – to participate, parents or guardians must register by Thursday, August 1, 2024.
How to register:
- Go to www.uwswac.org (click the Stuff the Desk banner)
- Call 211 (or 877-947-2211) Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm.
School supplies will be distributed during “Stuff the Desk” on August 16 & 17, 2024 at East Junior High School located at 311 Lincoln St. in Wisconsin Rapids. Registrants must select a pick-up time – each time slot is limited to 150 students, so early registration is recommended. Time slots include:
- Friday, August 16, 3:00pm
- Friday, August 16, 3:30pm
- Friday, August 16, 4:00pm
- Friday, August 16, 4:30pm
- Friday, August 16, 5:00pm
- Saturday, August 17, 8:00am
- Saturday, August 17, 8:30am
- Saturday, August 17, 9:00am
Registration must be submitted by August 1, 2024. Walk-ins will only be accepted on Saturday, August 17 between 9:30 – 10:00am; supplies are not guaranteed.
This initiative relies on the support of the community through monetary and school supply donations. Participating families may not receive every items requested by classrooms as teachers and school districts vary in supply requests. Please contact your child’s school if other supplies are needed.
