United Way of South Wood & Adams Counties’ Financial Stability Coalition hosted the Finance and Investment Challenge Bowl at Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.
The Finance and Investment Challenge Bowl, is a financial literacy program for high school students introduced by the Financial Stability Coalition in collaboration with Asset Builders of American, Inc. The event provides an opportunity for youth to learn skills to become financially independent, aligning with the group’s goal. Eighteen student-teams from six central Wisconsin high schools competed in this year’s tournament.
“Financial literacy is critical to success later in life, but it’s not something most teens are interested in. To see the excitement and energy students bring to this competition is inspiring and speaks to the impact the [Financial Stability] Coalition has had in organizing this event,” said Community Engagement Director Ben Eberlein.
Thank you to our sponsors for making this event possible: Connexus Credit Union, Key Savings Bank, Mid-State Technical College, Paper City Savings, Prevail Bank, StrongBridge Wealth Advisors, WoodTrust Bank, and NextHome Partners.
