About the Volunteer Center
Established in 1990, the Volunteer Center works to mobilize and inspire people to utilize their talents and enhance our community. We connect local agencies who need help with community members who want to volunteer.
We also foster volunteer recognition through our quarterly newsletter's Volunteer Spotlight, we provide training and support to local organizations through our Volunteer Coordinators Group, and we coordinate several annual volunteer events such as Day of Caring and the homeless Point-In-Time count.
Additionally, we coordinate our local Volunteer Reception Center, which serves to process & organize volunteers who wish to help after a disaster.
